This collection consists of coloured marble-effect tumblers. My focus this time around has been on the colour, weight and volume of the pieces, taking an intense interest in the tactility of each cup. I weighed out 450g of clay and threw each piece into the same shape, allowing the marble effect to come out naturally as I worked and the pattern to inform my shaping. Because of this process no piece is identical, and each will have a slightly different feel in your hand. I have made them with a thick wall and glaze to allow the simple act of drinking coffee or tea to feel like an intentional experience.
